ATC powers up central Wisconsin electric line - The Business Journal of Milwaukee:

The new power one of the highest-capacity lines in the state, connectsw the Werner West Substation near New Londoh to the Gardner Park Substation adjacent to the Weston Powedr Plantnear Wausau. The line also passeas through a new substation located along Highwayu 22 northof Clintonville. Construction work is continuintg in Shawano County between the Highwauy 22 and the White Clay substations in the townof Washington. That segment is the last portio n ofthe Morgan-Werner West line and is schedulexd for an on-time completionb later this year. Previously this year, a new 138-kilovolg line was energized from Werner West to the Badger located adjacent to the Highway22 facility.
The two new linee are needed to more fully support a new generatorf at the Weston Powert Plant that went into service last year and to relieve congestioj on lines in and arounrd the Green Bay and FoxValley areas. The Publicv Service Commission of Wisconsin authorized the projectx at a combined costof $263 million, within a 10-percentt window.
